What is WhiteCal ?

WhiteCal marine minerals are naturally high in Calcium, Phosphorus and Magnesium, while also rich in Collagen Peptides. Derived from the clean ocean waters surrounding the Irish coast, this all-natural material complex can be easily used in foods, drinks, and supplements contributing towards bone & joint health.

We at Bio-marine Ingredients Ireland are on a mission to produce the best marine nutrition ingredients, supporting global health. The company was founded by the very fishermen who sail the sea to supply us with our raw material. This puts us in a unique position, meaning we can ensure the full traceability of our ingredients back to the fishing vessel, when and where it was caught. These superior raw materials are combined with our advanced technology in a state-of-the-art facility to produce our premium WhiteCal Marine Minerals.

WhiteCal Marine Mineral Complex rich in Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium and Collage Peptides
WhiteCal is a Marine Mineral Complex
, naturally rich in Calcium, Minerals and Collagen Peptides. The product is made from highly nutritious Blue Whiting Fish, that is wild caught just hours away from Ireland's coastline in the clean waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. Our manufacturing process uses only the whole and complete fish, ensuring only fresh raw material is used.

We are on a journey to unlock the power of marine nutrition, and our R&D team have developed strong partnerships with EU research institutions and Irish Universities – with the aim to develop tomorrow's science-backed, effective marine nutritional & nutraceutical ingredients. Through this we are spearheading some exciting research with our clinical partners.

A recent study was carried out by Teagasc, Food Research Centre & the University of Cork to determine how well WhiteCal compared with existing calcium sources (commercially available calcium carbonate and milk calcium) in terms of in vitro bioaccessibility and bioavailability using simulated gastrointestinal tract treatment and a Caco-2 cell culture model to test the effects of calcium on human colonic epithelial cells, which confirmed that WhiteCal is more bioavailable than calcium from milk and calcium carbonate. WhiteCal is naturally balanced with trace minerals not found in commodity calcium sources.

WhiteCal is a single source of 8 key nutrients with a neutral taste, colour and smell.
